Los Angeles 'Eclipse' Premiere

He tilted his head to one side, and his eyes were curious. "I dazzle people?"
"You haven't noticed? Do you think everybody gets their way so easily?"
He ignored my questions. "Do i dazzle you?"
"Frequently," I admitted.

| 21 Sep 2010 | No 3-D Plans for ‘Breaking Dawn’ |
| Press Room Category: Articles, Breaking Dawn Movie |
|
A major rumor making waves over the past twenty-four hours claims that the second part of Breaking Dawn “will be released in 3-D.”
Similar reports surfaced last spring. Once again, they are false. The site behind the claim, which warns visitors not to “fall for any casting scams,” is itself questionable. A rep for Summit tells Gossip Cop, “Neither film is being shot in 3D,” and calls the rumors “fabricated.” And a source informs Gossip Cop that while 3D effects can be added during post-production (as they have with some recent releases), right now it is too premature to say whether either part of Breaking Dawn will be converted.

| Press Room Category: Articles, Breaking Dawn Movie |
|
'I'm impressed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison pulling it off,' director says, confirming she was in talks to helm the 'Twilight' finale.
While the "Breaking Dawn" director's chair for both parts 1 and 2 is officially occupied by Bill Condon, "Twilight" fans know that there were several other high-profile names attached to the project before Condon signed on.Among them was "Lost in Translation" and "Marie Antoinette" director Sofia Coppola. When we caught up with the writer/director to discuss her upcoming Chateau Marmont-set film, "Somewhere," we asked her if there was any truth to the "Dawn" director rumors. "Yeah, yeah, I talked to them about that," Coppola revealed to MTV News. "I was interested in doing something but I didn't end up doing it. But I love, I'm impressed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison pulling it off in that whole story," she said. "And my friend's kids love the story so much that I thought it would be fun to make something that they love so much." Asked what she liked best about the blockbuster vampire franchise, Coppola admitted she goes weak in the knees for romance. "I just love that it's so romantic," she told us. "I'm always a sucker for a love story and also to do something for teenagers, because I feel like, why not have beautiful cinematography and all these things in a kid movie? Usually it looks like it's not crafted very sophisticated, and I feel like it'd be nice to bring that kind of style into a younger film." Perhaps the studio heads can line up Coppola for the talked-about film version of the "Eclipse" novella, "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner"? Credit: MTV

| Press Room Category: Articles, Video, Cast, Breaking Dawn Movie |
|
ET's introducing you to one of the new castmembers of 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.' ET correspondent Kate Gosselin chatted with new 'Twilight' hunk Rami Malek, at ET's exclusive Emmy party. Malek told ET that he was thrilled about his upcoming role in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2." "I think it's going to be great," said Malek. "It's going to be super exciting and I'm thrilled," Malek said of joining the superstar cast that includes Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. For Malek, who starred in the Tom Hanks-produced "The Pacific," this was his first time at the Emmys and he was thrilled with the HBO project being awarded the statuette for Outstanding Miniseries. After talking about professional matters, Kate turned professorial when she put Malek to the test during the Kate Quiz. When Kate asked him to reveal the one star he'd love to meet, Malek seemed definite when admitting that "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara was not only a star he'd like to meet. He said, " [Sofia is] someone I could see in my family, [that you'd] aspire to marry and live with for the rest of your life." 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2' is slated to reach theaters on Nov. 16, 2012. 'Breaking Dawn, Part 1,' meanwhile, is scheduled to hit the big screen on November 18, 2011. The films are expected to go into production this fall. Rami is also set to star alongside Tom Hanks in the upcoming film 'Larry Crowne,' due out in 2011.

Yahoo has posted the rankings of Forbes.com's list of summer 2010 box office winners. 'Eclipse' is at #3 with $650 million worldwide, falling behind Shrek Forever and Toy Story 3 at #1 with $895 million:
3. Expectations were high for the Summit Entertainment release "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse." It took in a respectable $650 million, but it failed to out-earn its predecessor in the Twilight series, "New Moon," which brought in $710 million at the box office last fall. Summit has set the release dates for the next two films for November of 2011 and November 2012.

| 27 Aug 2010 | Nikki Reed Gushes About 'Twilight' Co-Stars' Upcoming Projects |
| Press Room Category: Articles, Video, Nikki Reed |
|
Ever since the first "Twilight" film was released — kicking off the phenomenon that has included record-breaking box-office numbers, fainting fans, megawatt premieres, etc. — the suddenly superstar cast has been catapulted into a spotlight none of them saw coming. As such, the actors are very much in demand and currently working on a number of projects.
When Nikki Reed stopped by MTV News recently to discuss her film "Last Day of Summer," we asked her which of her co-stars' upcoming films she's most excited to see. "All of them," she said. "I love Taylor [Lautner] so much, and I'm so proud of him and what he's doing. He's making a great movie in Pittsburgh right now," she said, referring to the John Singleton-directed action thriller "Abduction." "I'm excited about Rob [Pattinson]'s movie 'Water for Elephants,' " she added. "I think he's going to be phenomenal in that, and Kristen [Stewart] is doing an amazing film ['On the Road']. Elizabeth Reaser just did a movie called 'Homework' with Michael Angarano, who's a really good friend of mine, and Emma Roberts that I'm excited about." Reed and her co-stars have so many projects going that she was hard-pressed to remember everyone's work schedule. "We all root for each other," she said. Speaking of which, the multi-talented and multi-tasking actress, who recently directed Sage's music video for "Edie Sedgwick," lit up at our question about whether she would consider directing a music video for her co-star Jackson Rathbone's band, 100 Monkeys. "Would I ever! Jackson and I are on the phone every other day, because we're trying to find a movie to do together. I forgot to mention him — his band is skyrocketing. It's amazing," she gushed. "I would be honored. I don't want to take the position: 'Would I ever.' If he would ever let me, yeah. I love them." Credit: MTV

| Press Room Category: Articles, Video, Nikki Reed, Breaking Dawn Movie |

'It's about her want, her need to be a mother,' she tells MTV News of her character's fight to save the baby over Bella.
As "Twilight" fans well know, there are several slightly controversial and uncomfortable scenes in "Breaking Dawn," the final book of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series. Going into the last two films, the big questions on fans' minds seem to revolve around the infamous birthing and imprinting scenes. One key participant in the birthing scene is Rosalie Hale, who becomes so obsessed with Bella having Edward's baby that she will stop at nothing to see her born — even if it means compromising Bella's life. When Rosalie herself, Nikki Reed, stopped by to talk with MTV News about her upcoming indie film "Last Day of Summer," we asked what she thinks about her character's firm beliefs on that subject matter and how she'll tackle those difficult scenes in the films. "Here's how I look at it: I try not to be super opinionated and vocal, because in Hollywood, that seems to only lead you in the wrong direction," Reed said. "I try to relate this particular case to Rosalie and not make it metaphorical or symbolic of anything else." Credit: MTV Read more

| 18 Aug 2010 | ‘Breaking Dawn’ Production Schedule Confirmed |
| Press Room Category: Articles, Breaking Dawn Movie, Bill Condon |
|
Over the past few days, rumors about Breaking Dawn’s production have picked up as filming on the final installment of The Twilight Saga nears.
While some speculation about casting — and alleged “delays” — is far from true, a reported timetable for work on the films is accurate. A source close to the production confirms to Gossip Cop that filming will begin in November (as we reported last week) and extend until roughly March 15. Although the expansive nature of Bill Condon’s two-parter (and size of his cast) means there could be minor schedule tweaks, the timetable is set.
