Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, 'New Moon' Cast Dazzle Hollywood Hot Topic
08 Nov 2009
'Twilight Saga: New Moon' cast tour kicked off in L.A. on Friday.
HOLLYWOOD — "New Moon" mania took over the Hollywood & Highland Center on Friday night, as one of the first stops on the movie's nationwide Hot Topic promotional tour kicked off with an event featuring concerts by bands from the film's soundtrack, laughs with the cast, and a special appearance by the film's three biggest stars.
"Thank you to you guys," gushed Robert Pattinson, taking the stage alongside Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in front of hundreds of shrieking, black-T-shirt-clad fans. "Without you, 'Twilight' wouldn't be anywhere."
Well, on Friday night, it was everywhere. In two different storefronts, autographs were being signed by the likes of Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and members of the Wolf pack and the Volturi. In the main courtyard, Death Cab for Cutie, Band of Skulls, Sea Wolf and Anya Marina each rocked the stage for a few songs, promoting the "New Moon" soundtrack. Fans wrapped around the enormous outdoor mall like some sort of shrieking Team Edward anaconda.
"It's a massive phenomenon, not because people are into vampires, but because it's this love story that touches everybody," Marina explained. "I just saw the final cut [of 'New Moon'] last night. It's really great!"

Movies Online Interviews: Volturi, Kristen, Taylor, & Robert
08 Nov 2009
Movies Online currently has a lot of interviews they conducted with the 'New Moon' cast. Below is a snippet of each interview, and just click "read more" in order to read the entire interview.
Q: This franchise has made you a bankable leading man. How has that changed your career, and where do you want to be in five years?
Rob: I don’t know. I’ve only done one movie outside of the series, which was Remember Me. That’s going to be out sometime next year. But, even that, I did with the same studio. I’m still a little bit blind, as to what my actual economic viability is, outside of theseries , but it’s definitely different. You get offered stuff that you never would have dreamed of getting offered before, but that’s scary as well ‘cause you don’t have to audition for anything. You’re just like, “I don’t want to do amovie just ‘cause it gets made.” It’s a scary situation to be in, in a lot of ways. You have to question yourself a lot more. Before Twilight, I did anymovie that I got and tried to make the best of it afterwards. Now, you’re expected to come into the movie and provide not only economic viability, but a performance as well. People are like, “You can’t just mess around. We’re employing you to be a star and an actor.” It’s difficult and it’s scary.

Q: These films have come out so fast, one after the other. Can you talk about the intensity of that and also if you think you'll remember any of it in five years?
Stewart: There's already a lot of stuff that I have to say, “Okay, Kristen, be here. Experience it. Make sure that this isn't just another fleeting situation that you're going to barely remember.” You have to force yourself to sort of be present. But I feel like the fact that I have the opportunity to pick and choose moments that I want to remember and I have to focus on remembering cool moments, that only tells you that I literally have an influx of them. I've had the coolest two years and I'm so lucky.

Q: This movie is going to make you a bigger star. You’ve already got a lot of teen girls who idolize you. Going into this movie with a bigger role, how did you think about that and how did you prepare yourself for that?
Lautner: I don’t think there’s any way to prepare yourself for this phenomenon, just because none of us expected it. When we were filming Twilight, we didn’t expect anything. We were just filming a movie that we wanted the fans to enjoy, and then it kinda just blew into this whole other world. So I don’t think that there’s a way to prepare for that. You could definitely say I felt a little bit of pressure trying to bring Jacob’s character and Jake and Bella’s relationship alive for the fans, ‘cause this movie definitely develops their relationship and sets up the love triangle. So it’s a very important story.
Read Taylor's interview here.
Q: Dakota, the fourth book hasn’t been written yet, so as a fan, where would you like your character to go?
Dakota Fanning: The last book, the fourth book, has been written so my character – we see all of us in that last one. I think it culminates in the final battle which is a really cool scene to read in the book.
Michael Sheen: Of course, there’s the secret Twilight film which nobody knows about where many, many things happen that you don’t know about. [Laughter]

New Moon McNuggets: Rock Hard Nipples, Wolf-Pack Tats & Strange Superpowers
07 Nov 2009
Dakota Fanning loves being evil! The New Moon wolf pack tattoos might turn into the real thing for some of the actors! And the leader of the Volturi wishes he had a very...unusual...supernatural ability.
If you haven't already, check out full pieces on that romantic devil, RPattz, and his tabloid (at least) sweetheart, KStew. And then move on to a roundup of all the stuff you should know about today's day-long press conference promoting New Moon.
So just what does Michael Sheen wish he could do? Well…
- When asked what supernatural power he'd like to have, he replied, "I would like to have the power to always look like I'm three centimeters to the right of where I am. I do have that power.
- Dakota Fanning loved being an evil tiny vampire of the Volturi clan in New Moon. "The highlight of playing Jane was getting that costume, and the red contact lenses. I was really exciting about that, and getting to play an evil character."
- She's also obsessed with baby names, "with what people name their children," she explained. "Just, like, friends, anybody. I know a lot of people's baby names, I have been planning the names of my children since I was four."

'New Moon' Star Jamie Campbell Bower Dreads Seeing Himself Onscreen
05 Nov 2009
The 20-year-old actor, who plays Caius in the 'Twilight' sequel, says he hates watching his own acting.
With his platinum-blond locks, blood-red eyes and ghost-pale complexion, the vampire Caius is quite a sight to behold. But the actor playing him in "New Moon," 20-year-old Jamie Campbell Bower, is not looking forward at all to taking in his big-screen counterpart.
"I hate that," he told MTV News. "I don't like to see myself up onscreen at all."
He's luckily been able to push off the cinematic confrontation, as he hasn't yet seen the whole film, unlike others in the cast. "They just won't show it to me!" he joked, adding that he's been so busy working, he hasn't had a chance to catch the full picture.

'New Moon' Stars Answer Your Questions About Stephenie Meyer, Onesies
04 Nov 2009
Kellan Lutz tries to sneak in some Cullen love; plus Jamie Campbell Bower and Edi Gathegi.
When you think about "Twilight" and the soon-to-release "New Moon," there are plenty of words that come to mind — but they probably don't include "big hugs" and "sexual white chocolate." Well, that's about to change.
As we continue this week's "New Moon" Stars Answer Fans' Burning Questions, a Cullen, a Volturi leader and a nomad take the spotlight, answering queries straight from the lips of Twilighters. Read on for some revealing answers, as well as a good laugh.
Jamie Campbell Bower
Q: Have you been able to meet Stephenie Meyer yet?
Campbell Bower: Yes, she's fantastic. She's really lovely. I got to meet with her a couple of days before we started filming and spoke to her about the characters and stuff.
MTV: What kind of notes did she have for you?
Campbell Bower: [We spoke about] this idea that [the Volturi] are fairly cultured and very civilized. They've been around for 2,000 years, and [Caius] has got this deep-rooted anger in him. That was about it. I mean, we literally just sat down. She didn't give me any specific notes and such.
