Video: 'New Moon' Secrets from Dakota Fanning and The Volturi

ET sits down with Dakota Fanning, Jamie Campbell Bower, Michael Sheen and Cameron Bright from 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon.'
The foursome play members of the ruling vampire clan, the Volturi in the sequel to 'Twilight,' and they open up about their characters' evil intentions.
Veteran stage actor Michael Sheen says of playing his diabolical 2,000-year-old character, "I like the idea of someone who thinks of himself as a nice, sweet grandmotherly type but who's actually a psycho killer underneath. ... So, I like the idea of playing someone who is sort of soft, quite loving and thinks of himself as being very sentimental and then likes to pull people's heads off."
Dakota Fanning has a long history of playing nice girls, and tells ET, "It was the first time playing an evil character, but that was one of the reasons why I wanted to do it. It's more fun playing bad girls, more fun than playing good girl."
Michael says of the 'Twilight' series in general, "What's wonderful about these stories, I think, is that there are very fantastical elements, and supernatural elements, and magical elements, and at the same time, it's very moving and touching and it really seems to speak to people's hearts. So it's really wonderful to be in these films."

Video: Xavier Samuel Is A Lost Boy

Xavier Samuel checks out costar Dakota Fanning’s cover of Teen Vogue during his visit to the NYC offices this week.
The 26-year-old Eclipse star stopped by to chat about music, film and television. Check it:
On one of his fave bands of the moment: “I’m really into this new African band called The Very Best. There’s this amazing track on their album, The Warm Heart of Africa, called ‘Chikondi.’ It’s got that kind of magnetic feel to it.”
On becoming obsessed with Lost: “Bryce [Dallas Howard] actually got me a DVD set of Lost which I really want to get into. I don’t really watch that much these days, but I’ll admit I used to watch Dawson’s Creek and The O.C. growing up in Australia.”
On filming Eclipse in Vancouver: “Playing Riley was cool–I get to boss around a bunch of newborn vampires. I had a really good time hanging out with everyone in Vancouver. I play the guitar, so Jackson [Rathbone] and I had a few jams together–Rob [Pattinson] plays as well, he’s really good. It’s kind of awesome when you go to the other side of the world and find a bunch of people who are all into music and like the same bands as you.”

Mike Desabrais was the fight choreographer and he worked with [stunt choreographer] J.J. Makaro. I’ve worked with J.J. in the past and I was fortunate enough to just call him and say, “Can I work on as much of this fight scene as possible?” And he was really cool about saying, “Yeah, we’ll get you to do as much as we can.” I worked with Robert [Pattinson] on it, also. He really enjoyed himself. Those guys put together such a cool fight scene. Once you start building on it and working on it and start piecing it together... I haven’t seen the final product but I know the whole fight, obviously, since I’ve done it. I’m just really excited to see what it’s going to look like on the big screen.

Jamie Campbell-Bower: Well, it wasn't difficult because there's so much back story, particularly to the Volturi. We all knew what we were there for, we knew what we were doing. You know, the thing about the Volturi is that they're introduced in the second film and then come the fourth book, that's where the meatiness lies. So it's an introduction, effectively. But I wasn't disappointed; I knew exactly what I was going to be doing when I got the script. I'm just psyched to be involved in it.

"New Moon" Outpacing Ticket Sales for "Twilight" by 4-to-1 at MovieTickets.com

"New Moon" Sellouts Top 1,300, With Thousands of Tickets Still Available
More than a week prior to its Nov. 20 release, "New Moon" has sold more than four times as many tickets as "Twilight" at MovieTickets.com at the same point in the sales cycle.
MovieTickets.com reports more than 1,300 sold out performances for "Twilight" sequel "New Moon" -- including 900 midnight performances -- with a large number of tickets still available.
"The fact that 'New Moon' is outpacing 'Twilight' at a 4-to-1 ratio really speaks to the incredible fan base the film has built in just the past year," said Joel Cohen, executive vice president and general manager for MovieTickets.com. "That, combined with the increasing number of consumers buying their movie tickets online, could put this film in a position to be one of our top advance ticket sellers of all-time."
"New Moon" also accounts for 74 percent of all ticket sales at MovieTickets.com this week.

'New Moon''s Alex Meraz: 'Shirtless, Always'

The Twilight Saga: New Moon talk show takeover has begun. This morning, Wolf Pack member Alex Meraz stopped by Rachael Ray to surprise three teens who received Twilight makeovers courtesy of New Moon costume designer Tish Monaghan. (As someone who always coveted her sister’s red hair, it made me die a little to see a redhead dye her hair black to look like Alice’s.)
The girls were happy to see Meraz, but didn’t go insane, presumably because he was clothed. “Shirtless, always,” Meraz told Ray when she asked about him recently being named People magazine’s Sexy Man of the Week. He was photographed in a pool. “As soon as I got Twilight, it’s like ‘Alright, don’t wear any clothes, just shorts, and you’ll be fine.’”
