Video Interview: Twilight Saga Actress Tinsel Korey from New Moon

03 Aug 2009

Radar Online has a video interview with Tinsel Korey, who played Emily in 'New Moon.' Here's the brief article that went along with the video interview:

"Are you the wolf girl?" This is the question Bella poses to Emily in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and RadarOnline.com reporter Alexis Tereszcuk sat down with Tinsel Korey for lunch at (where else?) Moonshadows in Malibu, CA to find out more about the actress and what the wolf pack guys are really like on set.

Known for the horrific scar on her face, Tinsel revealed that the application took hours and that it was a painful process to go through. She also said that Kristen Stewart wasn't acting, and that she was really taken aback by the scar the first time she saw her disfigured face.

The fiance of Sam, one of the werewolves, wants her fans to know that she "has a really dry sense of humor," and she joked about a long grueling day on the set with Taylor Lautner - "Working with half naked guys, it was tough." Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Tinsel will hit the big screen again when New Moon is released in theaters on November 20.

Check out the video to learn more about Tinsel and to find out whose makeup she thinks is better - her scar or Rob's face??

'New Moon' Won't Feature Nude Scene, Director Says

03 Aug 2009

Chris Weitz gave this following statement to MTV News:

"I would like to put everyone's mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked!" Weitz said in an e-mail statement to MTV News. "Jamie has what you might call a dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me - which is why he's such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always - as in the book! - fully clothed."

And there you have it.

Examiner Exclusive: Peter Facinelli Talks 'Eclipse,' 'Breaking Dawn,' 'Nurse Jackie,' & More

03 Aug 2009

Amanda Bell at Examiner recently had an interview with Peter Facinelli:

AB: What was your favorite part of Eclipse?

PF: I actually like that, in the book, a lot of the family members are talked about, and in the movie they’re in it a lot more. The books are all told from Bella’s perspective, so a lot of times, when she’s not in the scene and things are happening, you don’t actually get to see them, like the battle scene, for instance. In Eclipse when the whole family and the werewolves are fighting the newborn vampires, it’s talked about and through Edward you kind of get something, but in the movie you actually get to see it, you know, so I like that in the interpretations of the movies, it’s not always about Bella’s perspective. She isn’t always in the scene, and so that opens up the story a little bit. The Cullens are in it a lot more throughout.

AB: So, in that case are you doing stunt work?

PF: Yeah, we’re going up there and we’re going to have fight training. I’m excited about that. I mean, I’m a guy, so I like the action stuff, and I’m excited because it’s fun for me to have Carlisle be part of the action stuff – get in there and roll up his sleeves. For an actor, it’s fun, but for playing the character too there’s a whole other side.

Jamie Campbell Bower Reveals 'New Moon' Nude Scene

29 Jul 2009

'We just all sit there, completely naked, for one scene,' the actor says of him and two other Volturi vampires.

SAN DIEGO - Lucky Twilighters who made the trek to Comic-Con last week were able to hoot and holler as two never-before-seen clips were unveiled — one featuring Taylor Lautner taking off his shirt, and another featuring Robert Pattinson's porcelain-white six-pack. One might think that all this "New Moon" flesh is what gave the film its PG-13 rating.

But according to the newest "Twilight" hunk, there's one more top-secret scene sure to raise some eyebrows.

"We just all sit there, completely naked, for one scene," revealed "New Moon" actor Jamie Campbell Bower, talking about a racy moment that was added into the upcoming film. "Yeah, it's me, Michael Sheen and Christopher [Heyerdahl]; we just sit there, naked."

In the November 20 film, Bower plays Caius - an evil member of the Volturi vampire clan. Sheen plays their leader Aro, and Heyerdahl has been cast as Marcus. As any good Twilighter knows, the leader of the Cullen clan has a history with the centuries-old bloodsuckers, and when it came time to shoot "New Moon," director Chris Weitz wanted to depict that backstory.

12 Minutes 49 Seconds with Chris Weitz, Director of New Moon

29 Jul 2009

TIME has an interview posted online with Chris Weitz. Interesting title for the interview, lol.

Taylor seems the most comfortable with this level of scrutiny. He doesn't squirm as much.

It's funny. In a way he's the least prepared for the intense scrutiny, but he's very balanced about it. Whereas I think Rob and Kristen are very sheepish about it. Not that they don't appreciate it. But they're thrown a bit by it.

They just seem very human about it. I mean, who would not be freaked out by that?

If you enjoyed it too much it would be weird. It would mean you were addicted to that kind of adulation. The thing is, there's so much love coming towards you, but you can't really tell whether it's towards the characters or the actors themselves, or towards an image in the media. and that's strange.

Top Ten New Moon Facts Revealed at Comic-Con

28 Jul 2009

What we learned about the Twilight sequel from panels, press conferences, and more.

Having read the books, visited the set, and devoured everything the internet already contained regarding The Twilight Saga: New Moon, you'd think there'd be little left for a Twilight fan to learn. Thankfully, you'd be wrong. As we found while tracking New Moon's cast and director through last weekend's Comic-Con appearances, the New Moon publicity machine is chugging as smoothly as Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner's bare chests -- two things which made our list of the Top Ten New Moon Facts Revealed at Comic-Con. (Catch up on our Comic-Con coverage here.) Read on for this week's installment of New Moon Monday and check back each week for news, interviews, and more to keep your Twilight obsession blazing.

1. Summit Entertainment knows its audience, evidenced by the two scenes they brought to Comic-Con.
Whether you're Team Edward or Team Jacob, there was a shirtless scene for you. Who wanted to see the birthday party scene or the cliff diving scene, when they could get their first peek at Jacob Black hopping valiantly off a bike to strip naked to tend to an almost-drooling Bella? Or watch as Bella raced across Volterra in vain as Edward opened his shirt, stepping into the sunlight? It was such an amazing sight, Bella started running in slow motion.

2. Director Chris Weitz will use a lot of dialogue straight from the book.
This was one of the biggest points of contention with the first Twilight, into which screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg had written quotes directly from Meyer's text -- with varying results. ("And so the lion fell in love with the lamb," to which non-fans groaned inwardly.) In both scenes shown at Comic-Con, the majority of dialogue was taken from the pages of New Moon and filmed quite closely to what we imagined.
